I would like to highlight USEuropean command's statement released earlier today confirming that twoRussian SU 27 aircraft conducted unsafe and unprofessional interand unprofessional intercept, uh, with a US Air Force Intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance unmannedMQ nine aircraft that was operating within international airspace overthe Black Sea, today. Uh, to recap, at approximately 7:03 AMCentral European time, one of the Russian SU 27 aircraft, struck the propeller of the MQ ninecausing US forces to have to bring the MQ.
Nine down in international waters.Several times before the collision, the SU 20 sevens dump fuel on andflew in front of the MQ nine in a reckless and unprofessional manner. This incident demonstrates a lack ofcompetence in addition to being unsafe and unprofessional. US and Allied aircraft will continue tooperate in international airspace and we call on the Russians to con conductthemselves professionally and safely.
