Michigan Say University shooting victims mourned at emotional vigil | USA TODAY

uncategorized

There's a student at MSU todaywho lived through Sandy Hook as a child and relived it again two nights ago. We shouldn't have to live like this. We shouldn't have to subconsciouslyscan every room for an exit, go through the grim exercise of figuringout who our last call would be to. Our campuses, churches, classrooms, andcommunities should not be battlefields, and so it's okay if youfeel frustrated or angry or sad because we are the only country inthe world where guns are the number one killer of young people.

Our hearts are heavy. Our loss has been great. Our lives have been permanently changed, but with a shared commitmentto help each other and a promise to rememberthose we have lost. We will learn to find joy once again.

Sharing is caring!
